Sam Claflin in "The Quiet Ones"

After watching  "United"   and balled my eyes later *sniff* (Sam Claflin enuf said)  at Sundance Channel the past few weeks,  I'll take my chances and watch this horror flick "The Quiet Ones," starring Sam Claflin and Jared Harris when it comes out over here, I hope. I'll prolly wait for a VCD if it's not going to hit the big screens.

I wonder if this will be something like Liam Neeson  "The Haunting"   or even like "Rose Red."  I'm still curious since the "The Quiet Ones" was said to have inspired from true events. Yikes.

Thursday Challenge: Sun

The afternoon sun blazing down at us. The car window was my filter. :D  Quite amazing to see the disk up there at the sky. As the date on my camera cited, taken last year when I went to Cebu to attend a1's charity show concert.

#SleepyHollow: How do you think they'll find Crane and Abbie?

It looks like Abbie and Crane need a divine intervention

So several weeks ago Sleepy Hollow Addicts and several #Sleepyheads got together for a spreecast which you can listen here.

I went online towards the second half the chat and always when faced with a different chat platform, I was feeling my way most of the time. There were a couple of hiccups but I managed to stay until the end then it was back to work for me.

Anyway, here were some of my thoughts regarding that question posted.

Music Monday: [Official] Apocalyptica - Not Strong Enough (Feat. Brent Smith)

This week, I was listening to the radio and the DJ commented Ms. Diane Warren prolific career as a song writer. I went on with my Net search and I was astounded. I noticed this song from the list and went on to check it. It made want to look up the rest of the songs she had penned for various
artists. It was quite impressive.

Noah the Musical Adventure 2014 - Brand New Musical with songs by Mark R...

If you've enjoyed songs such those found in Disney's Prince of Egypt then you'll be swept up with the melodies written by Doug Horley and Mark Read from A1. Listen to a sample of songs from the musical. I love "Intro to the Musical and well, all that was posted. I can't get enough of the "The Elephants are Coming." :D

Check out the tour flyer. You can start booking your tickets too, just scroll down for the nearest venue to select your fave seats and you're halfway through. Spread the word. Catching a musical like this reminds me of Kids Praise. :D

Lastly, you can make a donation of any price or select a pledge that you like found on the page too. I also hope they get to accomplish their goal too and take the musical overseas. :D

Music Monday: Witchcraft by Frank Sinatra

I've been following Sleepy Hollow since it aired over Fox Philippines last year and was hooked to the show since. Of course, the show has wrapped its first season with all the major characters in dire situations and not to mention the two-parter finale left every #sleepyhead  in various modes of shock. Mr. Orlando Jones  tied it all up by sharing his own reaction too via YouTube. Btw, if you haven't seen the finale just yet, skip the video below or proceed at your own peril. :)

So this is Pinterest *grinz*

I saw site years ago but never tried it because I was on several platforms and didn't see the real need until two weeks ago.

I had been noticing a lot of people were taking to Pinterest especially those I follow in Twitter and I don't know why it took Sleepy Hollow finale to galvanize me in checking this site out.

I dove in and built these boards.

Several of these don't have yet enough pin post but they will soon be like my Middle-earth fandom boardWhere's the Angel boardThe Tomorrow PeopleA1 and Sleepy Hollow.

Music Monday: Stars Align by Lindsey Stirling

Last year, Lindsey Stirling had an Asian tour on selected countries in the region unfortunately, I wasn't prepared when one of the malls in the Manila announced that she was going to stop by to do a couple of shows.

I wish I could drop everything plus it was nasty weather from where I was which prevented me from even venturing to Manila. Anyway, I hope Lindsey Stirling can come back to perform around Asia again. :D

You can find her in Twitter, her main site, and YouTube.

#AskKatia from Universal Channel UK

Universal Channel UK hosting a fan Q&A

Yesterday in between deadlines haha, I went ahead and sent my question before Universal Channel UK's mid-day deadline for...
Katia Winter
#AskKatia portion of their future program.  It was funny, I was wracking my brains for questions and somehow I kept coming up variants of questions that had been posted online before me.

ABC Wednesday: C for Calamba

This is  my first time to join so here goes....

View from the ground level, the giant earthenware/claypot
Another shot

Eye level to the earthenware/claypot

I first thought of picking the legend of the town (now city) for today's ABC feature: C as in Calamba. The town has an interesting and quaint history dating back to the Spanish times.

Sleepy Hollow Plot Twists from Season One (Spoiler-ish)

One thing I'm happy for the TV landscape, viewing-wise that is, a move done by several cable networks (to perhaps fight against piracy) the decision to do match-airing of shows such as Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.DSleepy Hollow, The Tomorrow People, Grimm and soon to come "Star-Crossed"  this February and many others, which enables us for those living halfway across the globe to watch an episode a week after the USA airing. Although there was an announcement in one local cable network that they'll be airing an episode just after it has been aired in the US. :D

Music Monday: Snow White and the Huntsman - Florence + The Machine: "Breath of Life" M...

When this movie was going rounds in the cinemas, I didn't take too much notice because I wasn't particularly keen in watching Stewart as Snow or maybe I wasn't interested in this version of Snow White. Hey, I grew up with Disney. Haha. So when the movie finally came to making their cable rounds, HBO Asia aired it. It wasn't that bad but I still wished another actress portrayed Snow. Anyway, it was good to see Sam Claflin  again.  Charlize Theron was very good as the evil Ravenna.

The end credit song "Breath of Life" by Florence + The Machine was great and it matched the whole atmosphere of the movie. Now, I know why my friend loves this group. She told me they also provided a song for the show "Revenge."

The Sound of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"

For someone who enjoys behind-the-scenes magic, this was a great video exclusive by the sound team (Park Road Post Studios) for "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug"  and I had to agree, the music seemed to wrap me in my seat during the film and accented scenes or sequences on the right note. Truly, I'm amazed how every element worked together to bring this project in its final form.

The Art of The Hobbit By J.R.R. Tolkien

With  January nearing the end...belated Happy 2014! Hope January's been treating everyone just swell!

So after ending last year with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, I was quite unprepared and thrilled at the same time what the second installment brought. Yes, I refrained from checking the Production Notes from TheHobbitBlog.

There were a lot of things going on and the second movie did beg for several more viewings unfortunately, I was unable to go back to the cinema. So I'll be patiently waiting for the extended versions from both films to grace the video display stands here soon.
