Fall Away
Winter wind rustled the leaves
While she walked the lifeless streets
Taking neither left or right
She continues to tread aimlessly.
Her friends' visit brought no cheer
They longed to lift her spirits
But conversations became trite
She wished to emerge
from the veiled night.
She hopes not to feel
the tendrils of being abandon
But he left her for another
Her bright world has grown colder.
