Follow Friday (13)

Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel of Parajunkie.com and Alison of Alison Can Read  If you want to join in the fun just head over the blogs mentioned above and start checking out the various answer for today's question:

Q: Many readers/ bloggers are also big music fans. Tell us about a few of your favorite bands/ singers that we should listen to in 2012.

I'm been a fan of Boyzone and Westlife since they splashed into the music scene late 90's and while Boyzone have semi-reunited,  Westlife finally announced (last November 2011) that they'll be taking a bow after 14 years of making music together as group.  I thought it was quite a close call for me when I nearly decided not to attend their September 2011 concert here, which eventually  became their last concert for the region. Whew.

Other acts that I like depend on my mood are found at the bottom of this post if you are interested in checking some of them out.

For now I leave you to Heinz Winckler and Charlize Berg singing "You and I." I've been a fan of Heinz since he sang "Chasing Shadows" for Disney's "Treasure Planet." It was too bad though that this song was only included in the South African OST album release.

and

Ross Copperman "Never Holding on and Letting Go"  From CSI: NY episode

Several of the mainstays:

Lifehouse
Heinz Winckler
Lady Antebellum
Josh Groban
David Barnes
Alexz Johnson

The Corrs (now Andrea goes the solo route)
A1
Steps (which have reunited after taking a bow back in the early 2000, I think)

Within Temptation
David Cook
One Republic
Anberlin
Muse
Christian Bautista
Mae
Breaking Benjamin
Chris Daughtry
Chicane
Gary Barlow (Take That)
Dolores O'Riordan
Selena Gomez
Kenny G
and several more.... :D

  10. Yes! Within Temptation! I have just about all of their albums playing whenever I'm writing. Their sound is the perfect background for the tone I'm searching for. Also, Breaking Benjamin is up there too :)

  12. @Morganville94 I love their songs. There was a track that inspired my my virtual TV spin-off The Charmed Paladins and it suited the scene. My other friend who also has her own Charmed spin-off has gotten acquainted with the group too.

    * Esperanza Spalding
    * Gavin DeGraw (well, he has existed more than the rest of my list - saw his double show with David Cook last year)
